The basics

What are the access timings?

You have the venue for three days: the day before to set up, the event day itself, and the day after to pack down.

Is there a curfew?

Yes, all guests off-site by 1am.

What's the wet-weather plan?

There's plenty of indoor space across the three barns, so rain is never a problem.

Food & drink

Can we use our own caterer?

Yes, any caterer you like, as long as they're self-sufficient. Kitchen and prep space is the Lean-to (there are no on-site cooking facilities), so your caterer will need to bring what they need.

Is there a bar?

Yes. The bar is run by our partners, Silver Cellar Bar, who liaise with you directly to arrange all the drinks packages.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

All alcohol is arranged through Silver Cellar Bar, so you'll sort the details directly with them.

Your guests

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, as long as there's someone on-site to look after them and their business.

Are children welcome?

Of course.

Is there parking?

Yes, a car park that fits up to 50 cars, with space for taxi and coach drop-off and pick-up.

Is the venue accessible?

Step-free routes run throughout the venue, and there's an accessible toilet on request.

What are the local transport options?

The nearest train station is Berwick-upon-Tweed, and the nearest airports are Edinburgh and Newcastle. There are plenty of local taxi firms (worth booking well ahead) and coach companies serving the Scottish Borders, with lots of room for drop-off and pick-up.

Is there accommodation on-site?

There's no accommodation at the venue, but there are lots of lovely places to stay and get ready a short distance away. Just ask and we'll point you in the right direction.

The day itself

Do you provide someone to run the event?

An on-site event or wedding manager needs to be in place to run the day. You're welcome to arrange your own, or we can provide one as an additional service.

Are any decorations included?

Yes, there's some bunting, fairy lights, and festoon lights you're welcome to use and add your own to.

Is a PA system provided?

No, you'll need to arrange your own PA system.

Can we have fireworks?

We prefer not to allow fireworks, to avoid upsetting the wildlife and neighbouring farm animals. Biodegradable confetti is welcome.

Who handles the clean-up?

Your suppliers collect everything the day after the event, and we take care of the rest of the clean.
